"Them kids sure do grow up fast". At almost six months I believe I only dipped Preston into the Atlantic. This time he went into the ocean 4 times! He was desperate to get out to a buoy and touch it. We came very close since there was a nice low tide going on but we couldn't quite make the full buoy journey. The waves were splashing salty water into both of our faces and I taught him how to just blow it off and laugh. He had a blast! Maybe next year we won't be able to get him out of the water. Bare in mind this little man isn't a pool fish back here in AZ. He makes all efforts to stay away from the water, I guess the ocean is more interesting than some old piddly pool. Who can blame him, right?

We were on the go most every day. Our first stop was a family birthday party for John, the newest boy addition to the cousin clan. It was great to see all the family again. Preston loved playing ring toss with the big boys, marking everything with chalk and eating chips and goldfish for dinner. Took Rob & Preston to the Cape that night and even with the cloudy weather the next day the guys had a great time. Thankfully I got them to stop at the Christmas Tree Shop, a staple of the Cape. As soon as my girlfriend Tara came in town we were off to downtown Boston before Rob shipped out. Preston liked the tour of this famous Boston spot along the Freedom Trail. No massacre here today dear friends it was Quincy Market, cobblestones and Regina's pizza all the way.

A couple days showing Tara around my old neighborhood and then we were packing for the Cape once again. Would Preston make it down there with flying colors? Amazingly enough, he accommodated us with his ability to nap quietly in the car three-fourths of the way. Three days of beautiful beach weather, good shopping and
lobstah eating made another trip to the Cape worth the effort for the desert travelers.
Sadly enough our trip had come to a close. I got to see my long time best friend Eileen and her boys the day before we left for Arizona. It was a hot that day and I think Preston was just about at the end of his tether during our splash pad play-date. Luckily "all mixed up", a yogurt joint, came to the rescue and got Preston back on track. The place catered to little kids with games, toys, big screen tv's and of course, yogurt with EVERY mix in you could possibly desire. If you are in Dracut go check it out.
Here is one more before and after with my friend Eileen's boys and mine. Trust me it was easier to set them up the first time, that's for sure. Another successful trip back home. Four more weeks and it's back to work for me.
