My school in the news

Kids from my school were on the Weather Road Show for Channel 5 news CBS. There is a small video stream that you can click, play and watch the kids waving and they even show some of the teachers who took part in the weather program. Very positive school publicity for Tumbleweed! Our state is facing some severe changes in education, we don't want these kids on this video to suffer from the state of Arizona's decisions to cut educational funding. Believe it or not our state funding per students is at the bottom rung. Our state ranked 49th out of the 50 states in public educational funding per pupil! Yet they continue to set the bar higher and higher by adding reading requirements and more testing/benchmarks to reach; how are these kids asked to consistently succeed when the state provides them with inconsistent financial advantages in their education?? Please if you live in the state of Arizona and want to help Senators and Representatives understand this important message to support public education. Go visit Vote Smart and on the left side you can find your representatives in the school district (state legislative) you live in and get an email address, phone number and mailing address and LET THEM KNOW that this is important to you! Thanks!
