A Little Park and Some Rec

Rob, Preston and I went to our 2nd annual WDEA family picnic. We went last year when Preston was 3 months old. This time he loved eating all the BBQ food, watching the horses ride by and playing on the playground. Daddy even took him on the big boy slide. He was a little taken aback but he knew he was safe in daddy's arms. We got to chat with friends from my teacher's union and enjoy the gorgeous weather!
It was a little breezy in the shade though. Lots of fun!

We also got a chance to see the Gosar family on Sunday. Evan is getting so big and smart! Lori made us lunch and Preston got to eat cheesy bread for the first time...Yum! Evan shared loads of toys with Preston and we had several "dance parties" during our visit! Evan's mommy, my good friend/college roommate, Lori is expecting a girl in 4 weeks. We are excited to celebrate and welcome their newest member to the world.

We also went to visit the Wendelken's one more time before they leave for Illinois. Stacey, Matt and I have been friends for a decade since they moved to Arizona and now it's time for them to return to the roost. They let us be their Arizona family for so long now it will be strange not having them around. Our last girls night tonight was a final, real goodbye before they leave this week. The tears that were shed could not amount to how much Stacey and her family will be missed. Take care Wendelken's! Can't get all mushy again so...Catch ya on the flip side:)
