Nana Visit

Nana & Preston reading

It was great having Nana for a visit this week.  She immediately took to her post feeding Preston and reading to him ritually each day.  We went shopping and found Preston some cooler weather wear as well as his first pair or sneakers.  Even the woman at the store stopped Nana and said WOW, his feet are HUGE!  We found that size 5 fit the best so Preston is now the proud owner of new shoes.

We got to see the doctor for a 9 month well visit.  He is doing so good, the doctor praised his progress.  He is 21lbs 3oz and 28 1/2 inches long.  He also stayed strong during his 2 vaccinations which included the FLU shot.  I had no idea that babies could get flu shots at this age but he pulled through with flying colors.  He  is such a champ!

Finally we got to get another visit in with cousin Ed.  He met us at one of Nana's favorite seafood resturants.  Mastro's Ocean Club.  We ate well and Rob got a great deal for us on our bill even though he works at the Westin the manager gave him the employees discount!  WOW!  What an exciting surprise!

Wisking away his day playing
Today was weird not seeing Nana in the kitchen starting her breakfast.  We had so much fun while she was here.  We are looking forward to seeing her and everyone at Christmas time.  Three months time and we will be in New England again to visit with the extended Hines family clan, SOMEONE will be a big 1 year old, how time flies.

Preston in the meantime will be working on his cruising, talking and walking skills.  I think we even got to hear a little bit of "Mama" while Nana was here.  He also likes to throw in a "bye, bye" here and there.  His word babbles are making more sense and we can't get enough of this little boy.

Time to bring a birthday cake to a friend, get Mommy's hair done and home again for a nap for all of us.  This fall break is moving too fast...SLOW DOWN.
