Crossing Fingers

Pending Property

The cat is out of the proverbial bag we are letting it be known that we have placed an offer on this house. Believe or not the last several weeks after school Rob, Preston and I went house hunting. I don't know where I dug up the energy but we found one we all fell in love with instantly. We knew we had to make an offer.

It is a 3b 2b 2 car garage single level home with no pool, mature landscape, a garage work space for Rob, a firepit/BBQ area, textured flooring and carpet in all the right places. Not to mention a skylight in the bathroom with dual sinks, a favorite of mine.

Our offer was accepted by the seller 2 weeks ago and we are currently waiting to hear back from their lender (the dreaded bank decision). We have high hopes but there is nothing concrete yet. Once we hear the good word you will know it!  We will be beaming from ear to ear.  For now we say a little house prayer every night and dream about our lives in a new house of our own.

For those of you familiar with a short sale you know how tough it is on both ends to see a deal through. A short sale is the less detrimental alternative to foreclosure. The lender and owner agree to sell the property at moderate loss. The process is by no means "short" either.  Banks can take months to make decisions on a deal and they can even counter the buyers offer as well.  It is pretty sticky all round but our deal looks promising and we are staying positive.

If we can get moved in and settled before school starts up again it would be ideal.   However, that can only be possible with the roll of the dice or the hand we get dealt.  It's a waiting game. My mind starts singing the "Know When to Hold'm, Know When to Fold'm" Kenny Rogers tune over and over again.  Our brains have been so consumed with house thoughts we just have to let go, what will be will be.
